Just because you don’t see young and hip Delhiites on the streets, doesn’t mean a cool, chic and urban-saavy Delhi doesn’t exist. Delhi has a nightlife that’s young, beautiful and happening. My new Delhi friend, Sandeep took me out on the town to Shalom Lounge and Urban Pind. Both were hotspots; they were glowingly hip, with a sensual and classy appeal, spinning my modern lounge kind of vibes… This is where the beautiful people go.
Here’s my Urban Pind review on tripadvisor.com:
.
“Finally, a nightclub that redeems the notion of a nightlife in Delhi!”
Loved this restaurant/bar- from the moment you enter the door, see the handsome host dressed in a white suit and catch the perfumed scent of orange in the air, you feel like you’ve found the spa resort of Delhi bars! The music is pumping but not deafening and there is an air of class, culture and urban hip to give you the illusion that Delhi has been delivered into the 21st century of cool. The faux Khujurao sculptures add to subtle, sexy undertones to the dimmed atmosphere, while rooftop bar lends itself to open conversations, fun mingling and crowd watching. The Indian spiced drink (they could use a larger menu of these kinds of mixed drinks) was a little on the heavy side but nonetheless, a wonderful signature touch of its own.

Though it has been almost 60 years since we have gained independence still the tendency to discrimanate flows in our blood. At Urban Pind one of the so called hep places in Delhi , me and couple of my friends were made to wait for 20 mins before someone let us know that we will not be allowed entry. The behaviour was as if restaurant is doing great service to us by allowing us entry.
The reason we are Indians and we are Stags !!
People like these are born and brought up in India but still will be ready todo everything for stag foriegners also but when it comes to serving Indians they will behave as if sometjing out of the world has happened.
I still have no issues if they tell politely to their customers about their rules.but they way the customers are treated are actually as if you are unwanted guests out there begging for food.
I vowed never to go there at any cost and spread the message to as many people as I can.
I encourage you to visit this place once to experience for yourself how Indians are treated there.
Its as good as putting Dogs and Indians (Stags) are not allowed but Foriegners are allowed !!!
