Win paradise stays in Puerto Rico and Hawaii on Girls that Roam!

win-free-trip

Recently, I was contacted by a new online women’s travel magazine, Girls that Roam with a request to post a contest notice for their first annual International Women’s Travel Survey.  While I admit, I don’t know much more about the site, other than it’ll be launching late this year, the ideals around sound pretty GRRR! and who doesn’t love contests to win free trips to exotic places? So here you are and good luck to all:

Tribase’s ‘My 7 Links’ Project

As a travel blogger, I have a behemoth heap of posts in my archival bank. Sadly however, a blog post only has a firefly’s lifespan. Once it’s had its run, it folds into the blog tomb, awaiting a Google search to resuscitate it.  A lot of hours (days even!) of laborious writing, photo uploading and video editing for a very short parade.

When Megan of On my way RTW tagged me on Tripbase‘s My 7 Links project, I was both, honored to be counted in as a member of the travel blogging community and thrilled to share some of my favorite pieces. So if you missed some of these posts the first time around, here’s your second chance! From a restaurant in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with the endearing madness of honking motodops and tuk-tuks as inspirational backdrop, I write for you …

Introducing My Crazy Kimchi!

Introducing My Crazy Kimchi!

We want to know more about your daily life, Chris…” my Dad told me last week on Skype, regarding my travel blog. Some readers are never satisfied.

While my expat life is littered with interesting discoveries, random observations and insights on a daily basis; they often hit me hard, fast and in successive waves just as they did when I lived in New York or when I’m traveling abroad. Unfortunately, I don’t always have time to give these things attention; nor do I know how to sort out its random bits… (more…)

Video: The Truth about Budget Travel

Got this youtube video from a friend and just had to re-post it here. The video claims to be occurring in 2oo7, but let’s just call it a premonition for the near future. With continual airlines fees and price tags placing additional barriers on budget travel (so far I hear its up to blankets & in one infamous UK carrier, toilets!), traveling seems like an expensive luxury. Hope you enjoy!
