Namaste! Kathmandu, Nepal!

In Katmandu, you would not BELIEVE the size of potholes in the streets! Me and Team M&D are staying at a hotel a 5 minutes drive outside of Thamel. We’ve taken a taxi here for 200Rs (around $2.50) and on the drive down are like the remains of landmines. The holes are LARGE, DEEP & MAAANY. You’re bouncing most of the way!

I want quiet activity so I can reflect on my crazy life back in NYC where my work in the entertainment industry feels to have taken on a grotesque shape. I want to explore a calmer local life, meet people and come back to feeling human. Not to sound corny but I’d like to come back with new eyes to see life with!

Tomorrow, I’ll return to Thamel to meet Theo, the manager Le Chobhar Village Resort. I can’t wait to do my own exploring without feeling the rush or compromise. I feel safe here in Nepal for some reason… I think its because look that their face is like looking at my own!

Did you know ...
that as of January 26, 2010, the U.S. Department of Transportation has required airlines to post taxes and fees within their prices? Yup, airlines carriers will need to post everything up front, which is how it should've been from the start!
