I always write postcards to my friends back home when I travel.

When I was studying abroad in the UK, I had a huge crush on my TA who was named FEARGHAL. The university had an anonymous submission system for papers, so I wrote a ri-di-cu-lous love letter to him, slapped a cover sheet meant for papers on it, and sent it. Wonder if my dear Fearghal ever got it… I said his smokin’ hotness warmed up our cold lecture hall!

It’s really got me feeling romantic and I’ve started looking at my travels from a different perspective. I think I will expand on this idea with other feelings to create a rounder image/memory of places I’ve been to and places I’ll be going to!

It’s great that your mom could visit you – being an expat can be tough, especially around the holidays. I hope your plans for Seoul work out and I wish you all the best for a wonderful and love letter filled 2011.
