Awesome post really Helpful for international travelers. As an Indian it brings me a great sense of joy and pride that our hospitality is accepted the right way. I would like to extend an invitation to Christine to come and stay at our home in Mumbai the next time she is in India. I can promise a warm home, and lots of ‘unique’ home cooked food, which cannot be found in any restaurant in India. Let me know the next time you are in India or plan to visit Mumbai. Thank you for the great post again. It brings out the warmth of real Indian hospitality.

Being I'm juggling both, YouTube and a written blog, my writing is eventually starting to pare down to mostly just information to complement the videos. Unfortunately some of the information will be a little repetitive as some readers don't watch my videos, but they'll also be descriptive with additional facts, which I can't fit into my videos. =)

Hi, Christine! I subscribe to your YouTube channel and enjoy your videos. I decided to come by your blog because you mentioned in a video that you don’t suggest that Western women participate in Holi Festival and to come to your blog to see why. I usually try to avoid blogs because of all of the filler words and frankly, B.S. bloggers often write just to make their posts long. This is the first post I’ve read, but so far, it’s very refreshing to find that you don’t do that. I’m an even bigger fan now!

I struggle with the left-hand thing because, like others, I’m also a southpaw. I can eat with my bare right hand but I’m helpless with chopsticks/knives. I didn’t realize that smoking was not a thing there, either. That makes me want to visit even more! Thanks for sharing this, Christine.

In reply to Jay Dollarhide. Remember what to answer when you will be asked which hand you use to handle the toilet paper. And after that think what they will think when you will shake their hand or eat. There is no way to be correct. Just learn to be ambidextrous for eating and use the correct hand :D
