@Melissa: Thanks for the recommendation. I really wanted to try one of those parking motels. I forget why we didn't get a room but it looked so swank and yes, very private. The privacy measures are to keep affairs and sex secret. I guess Korea has a small community and are afraid that word might get around. Can't wait to read your writeup on it!

If you're ever in Gunsan again check out the Lemon Tree Drive Through Motel. The rooms are 50,000 on weeknights and 60,000 for weekends. The place seems quite new and the rooms are really nice with drop down projector screens and big tubs. I've never stayed anywhere with that kind of privacy measures before. Each room has its own parking spot with a screen and room entrance. Seriously, you never see another person.

@Melissa: Wow, I'll make a note of it! I've not heard of Chezlee Palace Hotel yet but it sounds like the next love motel I'll be wanting to stay at when I get out to Seoul again! Also thanks for the love motel recommendation in Busan-- gotta love the ones with jacuzzis! Did it have mood lights too?

I'm very late to the party on this post but I just got back from my first trip to Korea. If you find yourself in Seoul, check out the Chezlee Palace Hotel. It's over the top kitsch with themed rooms (I had a Turkish room I believe) and a giant owl by the parking entrance. The Wa Hotel in Busan was our favourite though. Two PCs, two-seater Jacuzzi tub, 5min walk to Haeundae Beach and breakfast brought to your room each morning. Ok, it was just an egg sandwich and juice but still...

Both love motels put our 4* tourist hotel in Jeju to shame.
