@Shane: Yes, Dave’s is all teaching. It could use a bit of your diversity. Hope y’all keep that site going. So far, it’s been the only job board resource I’ve been able to find for Europe. I’ve noticed other sites like Transitions Abroad when I was doing my research to volunteer/teach abroad jobs (before ending up in Korea), but they were definitely filled with a lot of ads for voluntourism projects that enough to put a recent college grad into more debt. I didn’t want to list those.

We are particularly happy when we receive adverts from small volunteer projects (that don’t charge huge fees and couldn’t otherwise afford advertising) in remote corners of the world that offer an interesting and cheap way to our readers to spend some of their time overseas.

I also recommend Work Your Way Around the World, by Susan Griffith, as an essential book for anyone serious about picking up work as they go.

@Hannah: Good for you! You’re already an inspiration to many travelers then. I think living and working abroad is a long trip in itself. It’s an awesome way to travel countries as you can really time your time soaking in the culture and living its lifestyle in a very organic way.
