@Tarun: Aaactually there’s a few types of vegetarians out there and it can be confusing. It depends upon where your belief of definition is.

Lacto-ovo vegetarians consider eggs and dairy okay.
Lacto~ say dairy okay.
Ovo ~ eggs okay (it is not the meat of an animal).
Pesco~ fish okay.
Vegan- plant-based only.

Yup. I used to be vegetarian for ages, but I didn’t know this simplest fact, which isn’t so simple but quite technical to the point a lot of cheese loving vegetarians overlook it. Most cheeses it seems, are not okay.

It gets down to how accurate or well studied you would like to be in your diet when traveling.
