Hi. I’m also solo traveller and I would like to spend a week in Ladakh this July. Do you have any recommendations for good budget hotel/ guest house? Ideally the hotel can help me booking tours in advance (e.g pongong lake trip). Thanks a lot. By the way, awesome blog!

In reply to erikastravels. @Erika : In many ways, Ladakh probably feels like a little Tibet (as does Dharamsala). The Tibetan influence is very strong. I highly recommend visiting-- it's almost a different world next to India. =)

Ladakh looks so different from what I imagine India to be like. In many ways, your pictures and descriptions remind me of Tibet.

This looks gorgeous! I’ve been reading quite a bit about India lately, and Ladakh looks like it’s a world away from the hustle, bustle and scams that seem prevalent in the rest of India. Your photos are wonderful 🙂
