I had what I consider a near death experience on my ride back from phi phi islands via a resort speedboat! Like you said, we would be airborne and then come crashing hard down. The boat was rocking side to side where I was sure we would tip over. People were screaming and swearing. They asked the attendant if we could slow down because this was not okay. He said no because it would make the rocking worse. I was not participating in this conversation because I was violently seasick! Longest hour and half of my life and by far my worst travel experience. Thank you for sharing!
