I am a longtime fan of Petra, and I went for dinner last night. I was really disappointed! The portions are noticeably smaller and more expensive now, while the service was abysmal. I had some incredibly rude Russians as waitresses, who kept trying to interfere with our orders. When we first ordered, one waitress told us it wasn’t enough food (it was, in fact, more than enough in the end) and then she tried to dissuade me from ordering one of the beverages I order every time I go there). I honestly don’t think I’ll go back again after that service.

I’m telling you, you need to go to Jordan! I know just the place! Falafel, hummus AND pita will only cost you about $0.80!

But imagine how satisfying it will be when you finally DO find the perfect falafel. It will be like finding the Fountain of Youth or the Holy Grail! You’ll shout it from the rooftops to all and sundry. I think that’s a worthy quest. 🙂
