I don’t think I realised how big this country is until we tackled it by bus. We try to keep bus journeys under 8 hours where possible but the fact we’ve tolerated longer bus rides in Turkey is an endorsement of the country’s bus system – even if throwing up was the first thing I did when getting off a coach from Istanbul to Selcuk.
