Wow! I really want to visit that place in Japan! It’s like a manga wonderland! Right now though, the closest I can get to that in AZ are manga Stores where I got my first Manga from, and I’ve been a regular customer ever since! I just got so hooked on it!

Not for a long haul. But under $15/night, my own quiet cubicle space vs a shared noisy room of strangers, toiletries and free unlimited soft drinks … it’s a good deal. The other one I stayed at and wrote about was even larger cube space to sprawl w/ free soft serve.

The comparison was a Tokyo backpackers hostel in Asakusa which was noisy. But, I could park my luggage for the entire day- the only worthwhile difference.

Pretty price, imo for what it is then. $12 for a chair in a cubicle, for 3-5 hours, when a hostel can be had for an entire night, at $22? Not to mention that you didn’t include the cost of the airport locker…probably 100/200 yen, but still. It’s a fun novelty, worth trying once, but definitely not for me on a longer basis. Still a cool, well-written and super informative article, cheers!

I stayed in this same one last night. No lights out when I went. There were still a couple of people browsing the manga shelves at 3am. Also I had the misfortune to pick a night when thy happened to be stripping the paint from the walls in the hallway outside. A good nights sleep was not had… It was still an experience I guess

@Jessica … where abouts @ Haneda Airport is the shower facilities located? I also need to find a “hide-away spot” btwn midnite and 7am for a few hours sleep-over, while waiting for JR Centre to open in the morning …
