I really appreciate your being so thorough and having flown with CE before I agree with your experiences. At this moment I am waiting on pins & needles anticipating an April 12th , 2020 flight JFK>PVG>OSAKA(KIX) but I hear Japan may not accept flights/ passengers from China. The flight is still listed but these are unusual circumstances so not certain if I should cancel & rebook elsewhere, have U any suggestions

It’s only my return flight which I don’t care about. I’m getting a retirement visa when I get there. So it’s a win. But the ban is going to get deep. So watch what airlines you choose.

In reply to Thaddeus Mucha. Wow. Glad you got information but sorry to hear about your trip cancellation. So far it seems the ban is mostly for flights coming from the Middle East into the US. Didn't know about U.K. Some airlines handle the laptop thing differently and just wrap it in a plastic bag (i.e. Turkish Airlines). I hope others follow suit but I suspect there's more to this than we know.
