PS I love your travel blogs

GRRRL TRAVELER I arrived in Japan Nov 25, 1991 on a three year work contract. Told my friends and family I would be back...I’m still here.
Besides seeing Japan itself, the great thing about living here is that it’s a jumping off point for this side of the world.
I’m from N.Y. originally, so there is a good chance I may never have seen Australia, N.Z., Singapore, the Philippines etc etc, because each trip would have required a very long flight from home.
99.9% of the friends I left behind have only ventured as far an Cancun or resorts in the Caribbean...only one has ever visited me here.
So happy I took that initial leap all those years ago - it I opened up the world for me

Culture shock is like travelers honeymoon. Everything is like an alien territory full of sparkle. How many years so far?
