Love camping but like you - bathroom is always the biggest pain in the ass for me (no pun intended). Especially when doing a long multi day backpacking trip and digging/shoveling is involved.

The best camping trip I had was in Hawaii. I can't recall the year but my friends and I decided to camp out so that we can watch meteor shower. It was awesome. I can't remember the name of the park we camped at. It was right across Koa Loa Ranch and we had an awesome view of the Chinaman's Hat. We did not have those buckets as toilets, we actually walked to the public restroom which was not too bad. It was kinda dark, but it was ok. None of us were experience campers so we just went with it. It was fun.
