I would love to have a foldable yoga mat instead of the ones you just roll. The latter is so inconvenient to carry around, and doing yoga without a mat is not optimal. I didn't know they have it!

@Jenna: I hear you about the Gaiam mats. They're actually sold at Target I believe. ha ha... But they do the job too. I carried something similar around with me through my 3 month backpacking trip thru India. I strapped it to the side of my backpack. The cushion part helped (I used it as an extra padding/go-between between me and bed sheets I didn't want to lay on. Another travel yoga mat I got was more like a towel with rubber bumps on it for grip. In theory it traveled great but for a yoga practice it didn't feel too practical.

@Lily: Thanks for the share! Some people can do the money belt-- the hot and sweaty part seems uncomfortable-- but the main thing is that in the end, you feel like your valuables are safe. I split the mean and carry a money belt in the secret lining of my backpack. ;)

I just forwarded this post to my family members back home. Love it! The yoga mat, and underwear sound great, and would fit in my small backpacks easily. I always wore a money pouch underneath my clothes, but when it's hot and you're sweaty, it's a bit uncomfortable.

I love this! Think I'm gonna go for the 3-in-1 lens. I love my camera to death, but I'm increasingly lazy about lugging a full-size camera around when my iPhone takes pics that are almost as good.

I have another suggestion for a yoga mat. It's the Gaiam yoga travel mat (type it just like that into Amazon and it comes up first). It doesn't provide cushion, but is even more lightweight and you can WASH it! Which is essential when practicing in dirtier locations. I can usually find a rug or something to practice on top of for cushion, so don't need to carry cushion around with me.
