Really poignant is the cemetery with graves announcing the ages of those buried as 26, 30 etc. I understand yet more poignant is Hellfire Pass, further on where the tracks have cut through the rock. I did not go there though.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[We lived in a small town just outside Kanchanaburi - it&#039;s one of my favourite places in Thailand and so underrated! Its history is really interesting, Erawan falls in gorgeous, and I just loved how chilled out the whole city is.]]></description>

@Karisa: I can&#039;t believe you have this kind of time to web research with slow internet in Myanmar! ha ha... Independently, I&quot;d recommend 3 days at least. I was on a tour, so that freed me up to not have to dealing with transportation and getting around. The itinerary was well-timed. Kanchanaburi is supposedly small enough to get around the main area via bike but I do feel like we drove a lot to get to some of these places. Also I did want to stay longer at the floatel we were at and see more of the city.]]></description>
