Mom’s home cooking during the holidays? There’s nothing like it.
I’m not a big foodie by any means, yet there’s one foodie film I really appreciate– Ratatouille. I love that part where the curmudgen food critic, Anton Ego, takes a bite of ratatouille and the taste transports him back to childhood and memories of his mother’s home cooking.
Okay so maybe my experiences of home cooking aren’t exactly the same. But it’s what I felt when my mom brought a bento plate over to Korea on Christmas day and it was from Hawaii’s own Kabuki Restaurant in Waialua Mall!
My favorite? Musubi (rice ball wrapped with seaweed) and potato
