GRRRLTRAVELER Adventure Style
These adventure trips are bespoke group trips for intrepid solo travelers, who are passionate about experiencing culture, exotic destinations, authentic traditions and food. But who want to travel safely and ethically.
You don’t have to be a solo traveler to join my group trips, but being a solo female traveler, I am focused on nurturing inclusivity and a family environment so all guests enjoy themselves.

✅ Travel in style : This is not a 5 star tour and this is not a budget backpacking trip either! We won’t be staying at hostels and doing things on the cheap! Accommodations range from unique or traditional cultural lodgings to lovely boutique hotels and occasionally, a homestay.
✅ Stress-free travel: Our trip will follow organized itineraries with accompanying local experts to enhance our understanding of the culture. There will be group time and some free time for you to explore on your own. I am partnering with responsible and/or sustainable local operators to help me with logistics and planning for group travel.
✅ Travel local: Meet and participate in hands-on activities with locals and to occasionally step off-the-beaten path to experience places and local activities tourists do not often see/experience.

Private or Tailor Made tours
Awww, so you’ve missed our group tour or couldn’t make our dates because your PTO dates are not flexible. But you still want to be on a guided tour that has been vetted and designed by GRRRLTRAVELER. The adventure trips that have a Private or Tailored Tour are trips that are designed and vetted by me and are safe to run on its own. They can be tweaked and customized for you and/or a smaller party.

Are these small group tours for solo travelers only?
The tours are open to non-solo travelers as well. Just let us know you would like to room together.
Do I book my own flights?
Yes. You must book your flights To and From the start and end of the tour. You can come as early or leave as late as you please at your own expense. I like to compare prices between Google Flights and Skyscanner (here’s my booking tips).
Do I need to get trip insurance?
Yes, 1000%! Travel insurance is always recommended for travel and is REQUIRED on all tours and must cover all the tour dates. Travel is unpredictable and you cannot expect the same regulations as Western countries. In the past, I used to think trip insurance, but I’ve seen too many different scenarios of travel accidents and illness, missed flights, etc.. We highly recommend your insurance cover trip and flight cancellations, delays, medical and emergency coverage, as well as quarantine in the case of COVID. You will not be able to participate on our tours without it.
You are welcome to use your travel insurance from your credit card company if it offers the destination and well-rounded coverage. I like to get trip insurance with World Nomads, because they cover adventures that other insurance companies won’t cover. But you can use this recommended trip insurance finder tool to find your own. Always read the fine print of any policy (they can be tricky!)
Will I need a COVID-19 Vaccination?
Yes, all guests must be COVID vaccinated.
As we care about the safety and health of all guests and the communities we enter, and to minimize the stress, last minute disappointment and financial loss in the case anyone tests positive beforehand, all trips require vaccination status. Proof of vaccination must be sent 30 days before the trip starts.
